The Food Security Coordination Directorate is responsible for the general management and overall coordination of the Food Security Programme at federal level. The Directorate is organized as one arm of the Disaster Risk Management and Food Security Sector (DRMFSS) of the Ministry of Agriculture, with two case teams. These are:
Food security line offices also operate at all regional, zonal and woreda levels. The offices are organized under Bureaus of Agriculture and Rural Development at regional levels with similar set ups at zonal and woreda levels. The Directorate provides support and guidance to these line offices in the implementation of the Food Security Programme.
