Response
The Government and Humanitarian partners are jointly working to provide humanitarian
assistance to the identified beneficiaries. In addition, using the Early Warning System, ad-hoc
responses have been made in pocket areas.More
Food allocation and dispatch
Under the Hubs and Spokes system, DRMFSS and WFP work together in 7 zones of Somali
region to ensure timely delivery and distribution of relief food.
Currently, WFP continues to dispatch against January-April allocations. So far 93% of January
allocation has been dispatched. More
Stock Status of EFSRA (MT)
As at May 22/2009, the overall stock balance stands at 405,004 MT of grain. The stock on loan
and the committed stock amount to 236,751.01 Mt. The un-committed stock amounts to
